2026 LGBTQ+ Leadership Academy Application is Open!

As we look to 2026, a robust bench of LGBTQ+ leaders, ready to run for office and hold appointed positions, is more essential than ever. At Equality California Institute, we’re building that bench by equipping LGBTQ+ leaders with the knowledge and tools to run for office, seek appointed positions, and take on leadership roles in their communities.

Through a combination of in-person training, mentorship, and opportunity identification, the academy supports LGBTQ+ leaders in becoming effective agents of change. This year, LGBTQ+ Leadership Academies are taking place in Fresno, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area.
