CTPP General Plans Community of Practice Calls - Want to Present or Attend?

The California Tobacco Prevention Program (CTPP) hosts a bi-monthly General Plans Community of Practice Call (CoP) where we discuss topics such as General Plan Element updates and how tobacco policy work can be included, how to develop and sustain relationships with key stakeholders in General Plans updates and development, and how to engage the community for General Plan work. The General Plans CoP provides a safe space for CTPP funded projects and subcontractors to learn about General Plans work and provide participants with an opportunity to collaborate with partners who are doing similar work. This call has assisted rural projects and competitive grantees struggling to gain momentum with decision makers and the community to further their tobacco prevention work in city/county General Plans.

We are currently looking for presenters to share their successes, challenges or lessons learned in our General Plans CoP for 2025. Please reach if you would be interested in being a presenter and sharing your experience in General Plan work. Email Christina Crewsand Stephanie Voong.
