Recruiting Buyers for Online Tobacco Purchase Study - June 1st Deadline!

The Rutgers Institute for Nicotine & Tobacco Studies is recruiting California residents to participate in a study examining online tobacco product sales and delivery practices.
The research team is currently seeking adults ages 21 and older who live in or near selected regions/counties in California to assist with online purchase attempts from tobacco retailer websites. The purpose of the study is to better understand how recently enacted California flavored tobacco sales restrictions are being implemented in online sales environments.
The research team is currently seeking buyers located in the following areas:
San Diego County
Orange County
San Luis Obispo County
Ventura County
Kern County (Bakersfield area)
Santa Clara County (San Jose area)
Monterey County (Marina area)
Alameda County (Fremont area)
Participants who complete the study procedures will be eligible to receive $500 compensation for their time and participation. Please note that staff from CTPP-funded projects may participate but are not eligible to receive the $500 compensation (but will be reimbursed for the costs of any completed purchases). Unpaid volunteers from CTPP-funded projects (e.g., collation partners, student volunteers) are eligible for the $500 compensation.
