Seeds of Tradition - A Tribal Youth Led Project
Seeds of Tradition (Seeds) is a Tribal youth-led project that empowers young people to preserve cultural heritage, protect sacred lands, promote health equity, and lead commercial tobacco prevention efforts. Our work is done through community engagement, leadership development, and advocacy rooted in tradition.
Seeds shares information and resources with Tribal communities about the harms of commercial tobacco use, while honoring the sacred role of traditional tobacco within Indigenous cultures. The project aims to create a ripple effect by inspiring generations of youth to lead with purpose and strengthen both cultural and environmental stewardship.
Seeds of Tradition is a project of ETR.

The Seeds of Tradition project is guided by the Seeds to Trees Coalition. which centers Tribal youth as the driving force behind culturally grounded commercial tobacco prevention, policy, and advocacy efforts. The coalition uplifts youth voices to educate and strengthen Tribal communities for future generations.
