Statewide Leadership Opportunity for Youth & Young Adult Advocates - App due May 24th

California Youth Advocacy Network (CYAN) is excited to announce that applications for our youth and young adult leadership boards are now open until Sunday, May 24th.

CYAN's goal is to empower youth and young adults by providing additional training and opportunities that elevate and strengthen their skills for the work they already wish to do within their local communities.

Please share these opportunities with your youth and young adult partners:

Youth Board of Directors (YBOD)

CYAN’s Youth Board of Directors includes up to 15 high school students from across the state who work closely with CYAN staff on a statewide level. If you have a student who would like to apply or learn more, continue here.

Campuses Organized and United for Good Health (COUGH) Leadership Board

This year, the COUGH Leadership Board will consider only young adult advocates enrolled in a California Community College during the 2026-2027 school year. The COUGH Leadership Board works closely with CYAN staff to build leadership skills and to be part of a statewide movement to drive positive change on California college and university campuses.
