We are excited to announce the 2025 Communities and Schools Collaborative Events! These events will provide an opportunity to support California Tobacco Prevention Program-funded (CTPP) Local Lead Agency (LLA) staff and California Department of Education (CDE)-funded Tobacco Use and Prevention Education (TUPE) staff in understanding their aligned, and often intertwined, roles in local tobacco prevention efforts. Two identical, one-day in-person meetings will provide an opportunity for attendees to share ideas on how LLA and TUPE programs can collaborate effectively and identify opportunities for growth in supporting each other. The goal is for LLA and TUPE staff from the same jurisdictions to attend the same meeting to foster stronger partnerships.In-Person Meeting Dates & Locations:
Both meetings will take place from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with breakfast and lunch provided. Since these meetings are identical, we encourage LLAs to coordinate with their TUPE partners on selecting one meeting to attend.

  • Wednesday, February 5, 2025 – Sacramento, CA
  • Monday, February 24, 2025 – Long Beach, CA

Pre-Event Webinar:
To ensure all participants are well-prepared for the in-person meetings, we will also be hosting a Pre-Event Webinar on Monday, January 27, 2025, at 10:00 – 11:30 AM. Event registrants will receive webinar information.

Who Should Attend:
CTPP Local Lead Agency (LLA) staff and TUPE representatives (1-2 from each program) are encouraged to attend. For CTPP, this may include project directors and/or coordinators, health educators, and/or staff coordinating with youth or working closely with TUPE in your communities.
