Applications Now Open! 2024 LGBTQIA2S Violence Prevention Lab


The Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health is proud to announce a partnership with Break The Binary LLC to host a new and exciting project: the 2024 LGBTQIA2S+ Violence Prevention Lab! From March 11-15, 2024, a selected group of 18 Participants ages 18+ will meet in-person to develop innovative user-centered strategies addressing mental health barriers and related issues affecting LGBTQIA2S+ communities in Los Angeles County.

Over the course of the Lab, Participants will receive the following:

  • $500 stipend upon completion of the Lab;
  • Certificate of Recognition from LACDMH;
  • Letter of Recommendation from the Lab Coordinator, if eligible and requested;
  • Tools to empower LGBTQIA2S+ communities and access mental health care;
  • Opportunities to network and build connections with LACDMH, partner agencies, local organizations, and other LGBTQIA2S+ leaders.

Applications are due Friday February 16, 2024 at 12pm Noon PT. Selected applicants will be notified by phone and email by Friday February 23, 2024. We highly encourage applications from Black, Indigenous, and POC LGBTQIA2S+ Youth. Please click here or on the button below to complete the application.
