California Department of Public Health (CDPH) - COVID-19 Health Equity Projects

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Office of Health Equity (OHE) released a Request for Applications (RFA), titled, "COVID-19 Health Equity Projects" to advance the State’s work to close racial, ethnic, and other disparities related to COVID-19 and associated chronic conditions. The RFA will fund community-based organizations to implement pilot projects to reduce underlying inequities in the social determinants of health that have contributed to disproportionate harm from the coronavirus among certain communities. The RFA makes $5 million available and will fund approximately 16-30 community-based organizations led by and serving communities facing inequities in COVID-19 impacts and infection. Funding for this RFA is from a $499 million award that CDPH received from the Centers for Disease and Control Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity Grant. Additional information about the RFA is posted on the OHE website.
