CYAN Youth Quest 2025: Registration Open

The California Youth Advocacy Network (CYAN) is happy to announce registration for Youth Quest 2025 is open! Coalition registration closes on Friday, February 7th.

Event Details
This year’s Youth Quest event will be held in Sacramento on Monday, March 10th from 8:30am – 3:00pm. Youth Quest includes a youth-led and focused training which will be held at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Downtown Sacramento. Following the training, youth will march to the West Steps of the Capitol for a rally, press conference, and information and educational visits with legislative offices.

Event Participants
Youth Quest 2025 is an event for middle and high school age students working with local, regional, and Tribal programs on smoke and commercial tobacco-free policy initiatives. This event is for California Tobacco Prevention Program (CTPP)-funded organizations and youth coalitions. CTPP-funded organizations and coalitions can bring up to six youth and two adult partners. If your coalition would like to bring more than eight individuals, you can note this on your registration and CYAN will let you know if space permits to bring additional coalition members. TUPE programs are welcome to attend; however, there will be a fee associated with attendance.

Legislative Visits
A major component of Youth Quest is legislative visits. These visits put advocacy into action, capturing the spirit of Youth Quest. CYAN would like Youth Quest to be a meaningful experience in which youth fully contribute and leave with a sense of accomplishment, which is why each coalition is required to complete a visit. CYAN will schedule all legislative visits.

Registration
Registration includes a two-step process. The first step of registration will provide initial coalition information. Coordinators will need to provide their name(s), contact information, name of coalition, desired legislative office(s), and the anticipated number of youth participants. Coalition registration closes on February 7th and can be completed HERE.

The second step for registration will be to register youth partners. After registering a coalition, the primary adult coordinator will be sent a unique Google Sheet to register youth partners and note any dietary restrictions. Youth registration closes on February 14th.
