Daniel-Philippe Empleo Toleran
Daniel-Philippe Empleo Toleran committed his professional and personal vocation to community health exemplified through his results-oriented approach to program development and evaluation, health care policy development and advocacy, and improving clinical practice. Mr. Toleran has achieved specialty in cross cultural service development and evaluation, behavioral health system management and integration, grant writing and management, and adolescent and young adult services development. He is an experienced Project Director/Principal Investigator for 5 five-year prevention and 2 three-year treatment projects funded by the federal office of the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration, with a focus on the intersection of immigrants, sexual minorities, and behavioral health. He has multiple peer journal publications addressing under-researched populations, provided workshops and training in addressing health disparities, immigrant groups, and community responsive healthcare services serving minority populations. He identifies as an immigrant, queer, and a same sex loving person.
