Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Community Outreach and Education Services
The California Department of General Services has put out an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Community Outreach and Education Services with the goal of creating a standard list of approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that all state departments and local government agencies can leverage to streamline administrative processes and quickly mobilize/respond to community challenges that require targeted community outreach tactics. Essentially, this means community-based organizations can apply to be on a list of approved vendors for specific services that make it easier to enter into financial agreements for local work. In some cases, this can mean skipping other formal processes like competitive Requests for Proposals (RFPs) or service orders and quickly entering into a contract with a government entity.
The specific details of the application and requirements are posted on Cal eProcure with Event ID 5239940. We encourage any organization that qualifies to review the opportunity and participate in the solicitation process. The deadline to submit bids is June 20, 2024.
This is a new opportunity at the state level to help move funds more easily into the hands of community partners. Any questions about the IFB process and requirements should be directed to Kush Kishor at kush.kishor@dgs.ca.gov.
