Los Angeles OUT Against Big Tobacco coalition member, Luckie Alexander, published an op ed entitled “Research and data on transgender tobacco use is needed” in Q Voice News. Alexander is the founder and executive director of Invisible Men, a Los Angeles-based organization that advocates and provides resources for transgender men of color. In the article, he writes about his experience as a Black transgender man and his early exposures to tobacco at LGBTQ+ community events. Big Tobacco has targeted the LGBTQ+ community for decades, resulting in high rates of tobacco use.
