Statice Wilmore
Pasadena Tobacco Control Program
Statice Wilmore has been in the public health field for over 40 years. She started her career in tobacco control with her first employer at the Watts Health Foundation conducting health education presentations and smoking cessation services in South Central Los Angeles. In 1994, she continued her career with the City of Pasadena Public Health Department managing the Pasadena Tobacco Control Program as Program Coordinator for the past 27 years - facilitating the adoption of more than 20 tobacco control policies in Pasadena. Passion for her work is built on a personal family loss, where her father died at age 49 from a fatal heart attack from cigarette smoking. Statice has served on several California Department of Health workgroups, committees, and has presented at more than 60 tobacco control sessions at local, statewide, and national conferences.
