Meet Rebecca Day-Rodriguez
Rebecca Day-Rodriguez is currently the Program Manager at the City of Berkeley Public Health Division’s Tobacco Prevention Program. She has been working in tobacco prevention for over ten years and has worked in field of public health and wellness for the last eighteen years. Rebecca has expertise in a number of focuses including community engagement, social justice, youth development, sexual and reproductive health, early childhood education, case management, tobacco cessation, and facilitation and training. She believes that collaboration through coalitions and recognizing the impact of systematic oppression is imperative to effective public health efforts. Rebecca feels honored to work with her committed and passionate coalition members and looks forward to continuing this important work to reduce tobacco use and improve health for our communities. Rebecca received her Human Development BA with an emphasis in Adolescent Development from California State University East Bay. Born and raised in Boyle Heights Los Angeles, Rebecca has been a Bay area transplant for the last 26 years and lives in the East Bay.. Rebecca and her wife are proud parents of two seventeen year olds (son and daughter twins) and a 9 year old son.
