California Health Collaborative - Chico (Gold Country Region Rural Initiative)

About This Partner/Organization

The California Health Collaborative’s Gold Country Rural Regional Initiative focuses on

the six (6) most rural counties of the region including Sutter, Stanislaus, El Dorado,

Amador, Tuolumne, Nevada. The major goals of the Program are to reduce exposure to

secondhand smoke and tobacco use and support social norms around tobacco use

throughout rural communities with tobacco control policies included in City/County

General Plans, and through tobacco-free campus policies at community colleges and

trade schools. Another goal of the program is to mobilize Young Adults in tobacco control

trainings and activities.
