About This Partner/Organization

Regional Advocates Countering Tobacco (ReACT) is a program of the California Health Collaborative created through funding support from the California Department of Public Health – Tobacco Control Program. ReACT implements a tri-county tobacco control plan aimed at reducing and preventing tobacco use and decreasing exposure to secondhand smoke in the counties of Tulare, Kings and Fresno. During the 2015-2020 work plan, ReACT is tasked with: 1) Increasing youth participation in tobacco control efforts by forming a tri-county Tobacco-Free Youth Coalition; 2) Assisting cities in Tulare, Kings and Fresno County through the adoption and implementation of public policies that eliminate the use of all tobacco products in outdoor venues; and 3) Eliminating indoor smoking in workplaces exempted by the California smoke-free workplace law in Kings and Tulare County through the adoption of public policies.
