About This Partner/Organization
The Unidos Por Salud (United for Health) Program is a Central Valley regional tobacco
control program tasked with reducing tobacco related health disparities and improving
health equity among Hispanic/Latino residing in the Central Valley. The program
objectives for 2017-2023 are to adopt and implement a public policy that prohibits the sale
of mentholated and other flavored tobacco products and electronic cigarettes 1000ft from
schools and other youth sensitive areas; protect Hispanic/Latinos living in market rate
multi-unit housing from secondhand smoke exposure through a public policy that
eliminates tobacco use in 100% of units, including balconies and patios; and empower
local Central Valley Hispanic/Latino Youth and Young Adults to become engaged in
tobacco control efforts and play an active role in reducing tobacco use among youth and
young adults.
