California Human Development Corporation (Tobacco-Free CHDC for Recovery)

California Human Development's Corporation (CHDC) Athena House at Stonehouse,

residential treatment for women, will create a smoke-free campus policy and implement a

program of smoking cessation for all clients to learn how to overcome their addiction to

nicotine during their time in the program. As a result of CHD's large footprint in northern

California, Athena House provides services to a wide multicultural and diversified

population of clients. Athena House at Stonehouse will provide all information and

materials in Spanish, as well as English, to advance cultural responsiveness. In addition to

a smoke-free campus policy and cessation initiatives, Athena House will provide

opportunities related to overall health and wellness in order to promote healthy living in

recovery.
