Del Norte County (North Coast Regional Partnership)

This project addresses tobacco-related health disparities in rural populations by building

community awareness and support for proven tobacco control strategies in the rural North

Coast Region of California. The North Coast Region includes the four counties of Del

Norte, Humboldt, Mendocino and Lake Counties. It is a rural and frontier geography, with

a population density of 36 persons per square mile on average compared to 239 persons

for California as a whole.
