About This Partner/Organization

E. C. Reems Community Services, founded in 1989 by Ernestine C Reems, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides mental health and wellness services for the African-American population. The organization uses its understanding of the diverse African-American experience to develop events, training, information, and programs to encourage participation in mental health activities. For 29 years, E.C. Reems has partnered with individuals, organizations, mental health providers, and medical practitioners to provide culturally competent services. As a faith-based organization, E.C. Reems aims to help African Americans heal and overcome day-to-day challenges contributing to mental illnesses.
