Lake County (Lake County Tobacco Education Program)

The Lake County Tobacco Education Program operates under the Health Services
Department in Lake County. Lake County is a rural county that surrounds Clear Lake, a
large natural lake in Northern California. The county seat is the town of Lakeport. The
population of Lake County is 64,591. The goals of this program for 2017-2021, are to: 1)
educate and support the City of Clearlake in pursuing adoption of a Tobacco Retail
License, 2) educate and support Mendocino Community College students, faculty, and
staff in pursuing adoption of a 100% smoke/tobacco free policy including electronic
nicotine delivery devices, and 3) expand the existing Youth Coalition to the north and west
ends of Lake County and continue to inform, educate, and collaborate with the Health
Education Coalition.
