Los Angeles County (Tobacco Control and Prevention Program)
About This Partner/Organization
Great headway has been made in the fight against tobacco use and exposure to
secondhand smoke in the 28 years since the Local Lead Agency (LLA), The Los Angeles
County Tobacco Control and Prevention Program, was first funded by the California
Department of Health Services through Proposition 99.
Despite these successes, the LLA recognizes the complexity of the work involved in
tobacco control efforts and continues to actively build relationships and collaborations with
community partners to effect positive changes. During the 2017-2021 Scope of Work
(based on six objectives), the LLA will be active in several community-level tobacco
control efforts.
