to secondhand smoke through education, policy development, and collaboration with

community members and organizations. The LLA, in collaboration with Community Action

of Napa Valley (CAN-V) Tobacco Education Program, will focus on four objectives during

the 2017-2021 Scope of Work period. the Program will work toward updating the definition

of smoking and tobacco product in local ordinances to align with the definition adopted by

the state of California and to include ESDs and marijuana; adopting ordinances prohibiting

tobacco retail establishments within 1000 feet of schools and other youth sensitive

areas; adopting ordinances prohibiting smoking in multi-unit housing; and expanding and

supporting a diverse and active tobacco coalition.
