PHFE The SOL Project (SOL ProjectAdvancing Momentum)

The SOL Project, Saving Our Legacy, African Americans (The SOL Project) has been a

partner of the California Tobacco Control Program (CTCP) since 2007 advocating for

healthy, smoke-free communities in the Gold Country Region. The SOL Project forms

cross-sectorial partnerships to reduce exposure to second hand tobacco smoke in outdoor

areas; counters tobacco industry targeting and marketing of mentholated tobacco towards

African Americans; provides resources to people who use tobacco and want to quit and

concentrates on social determinants of health as it relates to tobacco use and illness.
