reduce tobacco use to Plumas County residents through community level education and
advocacy, policy and health equity work, and building and maintaining partnerships to
further these efforts. Using these strategies, TURP objectives for the 2017-2021 project
period are to reduce availability of flavored tobacco, and foster a healthier retail
environment in our communities; work with local health jurisdictions to increase the
number with comprehensive smoke free campus policies; collaborate with local parks,
government, federal government and local tribes to increase the jurisdictions that have
comprehensive smoke-free outdoor recreational policies' and work with youth to increase
their tobacco control advocacy skills and knowledge.
