San Dieguito Alliance (Smokefree San Dieguito)

Objective 1: By June 30, 2020, at least 2 of 3 cities within the San Dieguito region (Del

Mar, Encinitas, Solana Beach) of San Diego County with a significant Latino population

and growing Asian population, will adopt and implement a legislative policy regulating all

common areas, and 100% of individual units (including balconies and patios) in Multi Unit

(MUH) complexes as smokefree, including Electronic Nicotine Delivery Devices (ENDDs),

such as Electronic Cigarettes and Vape Pens, with the option of including designated

smoking areas at least 100 feet from any entrances or windows. Objective 2: By June 30,

2020, at least 2 of 3 cities within the San Dieguito region (Del Mar, Encinitas, Solana

Beach) of San Diego County with a significant Latino population and growing Asian

population, will adopt and implement a legislative policy regulating all establishments

selling tobacco products and/or Electronic Nicotine Delivery Devices (ENDDs), such as

Electronic Cigarettes and Vape Pens through a Tobacco Retailers Licensure Conditional

Use Permit process.
