About This Partner/Organization
The San Francisco County Department of Public Health’s Tobacco Free Project (TFP)
aims to reduce the availability of mentholated and flavored tobacco products that are
disproportionately targeted to youth and communities of color; limit tobacco promoting
influences by offering incentives to retailers to promote healthy products through Healthy
Retail SF; and engage youth in tobacco use prevention and control activities through the
Community Action Model (CAM) program; set a minimum price or limit coupons and
promotions for coupons to reduce use rates of youth and low-income communities; and
engage four faith community campuses to adopt a voluntary wellness policies, including
smoke-free campus. These objectives were prioritized and identified by the Tobacco Free
Coalition’s Communities of Excellence assessment process.
