The Santa Clara County Tobacco-Free Communities Program’s 2017-2021 Tobacco
Control Plan includes two policy campaigns aimed at supporting and improving the health
and safety of residents by decreasing youth and adult exposure and availability of tobacco
in the retail environment and increasing the number of smoke-free multi-unit housing
complexes, and three assets - one building community capacity to increase the diversity of
agencies funded to implement tobacco control strategies, one to increase the size and
diversity of the adult coalition, and one to expand youth engagement in tobacco control
activities.
