Santa Cruz County (The Tobacco Education Program)
About This Partner/Organization
The goal of the Santa Cruz County Tobacco Education Program’s 2017-2021 work plan is
to coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders in the community to reduce youth
access to tobacco and protect the community from toxic tobacco waste. Our primary
objective will build upon previous work in the retail environment and continue to focus on
tobacco retail licensing (TRL), youth access, and flavored tobacco products. Activities will
increase community knowledge and awareness about flavored tobacco products, and
support law enforcement and city staff in moving from adoption to successful enforcement
of new and existing TRL policies.
