About This Partner/Organization
The Sonoma County Tobacco Education Program serves as the Local Lead Agency (LLA)
for Sonoma County. The LLA will deploy end-game strategies towards the elimination of
tobacco related disease and death. These efforts stem from a theory of change that social
norms surrounding the use of tobacco products greatly impact the continued use and
initiation. With this in mind, the major goals of the program are to: reduce exposure to
secondhand smoke in multi-unit housing environments; increase access to and expand
the availability of evidence-based smoking cessation programs in the County; and, to
assist jurisdictions in the adoption of effective tobacco retail policies.
