Tehama County (Tehama County Tobacco Education Program)

About This Partner/Organization

The purpose of the 2017-2021 Tehama County Health Services Agency Tobacco Control

Program plan is to improve the health of the residents of the county by implementing

measures aimed at reducing secondhand smoke as well as secondhand aerosol exposure

derived from the use of electronic nicotine delivery devices (ENDD) in multi-unit housing

complexes. We are also committed to reducing chronic disease and premature death

attributable to tobacco product use through motivating changes in the retail environment

that reduce the availability of flavored tobacco products. Lastly, we resolve to build

advocacy for addressing the social determinants of health, which disproportionately affect

the health of priority populations and increase the human and economic burden of chronic

disease.
