Tulare County (Tulare County Tobacco Control Program)

About This Partner/Organization

The Tulare County Tobacco Control Program (TCTCP) is dedicated to protecting the

residents of Tulare County from the harmful health effects of tobacco. As part of Tulare

County Health and Human Services Agency, TCTCP accomplishes this through health

promotion, education, and tobacco-free policies. For the 2018-2021 scope of work, there

are three objectives: (1) at least one jurisdiction in Tulare County will adopt and implement

a tobacco retailer licensing (TRL) policy that earmarks a portion of the license fee for

enforcement activities; (2) to recruit, and engage new diverse and non-traditional partners

to participate in the Tulare County Tobacco-Free Coalition; (3) a minimum of two

community college or trade/vocational/technical school in Tulare County will adopt and

implement a policy that prohibits smoking, including the use of electronic smoking

devices, in all outdoor areas of their campuses. Lastly, TCTCP supports and collaborates

with the Tulare County Tobacco-Free Coalition to address tobacco related health related

disparities Tulare County.
