The LOOP Project Associate  

Anila Pillai was born and raised in Kerala, Southern India. She moved to San Francisco with her family after receiving her Masters in Ayurvedic Medicine (MD – Ayurveda). She is a holistic healing practitioner and trainer. Her expertise includes Ayurvedic dietary and lifestyle consultations. She has been passionate about the health and wellness industry for years.

She received her Master’s in Public health from the University of San Francisco focused on Population health.

Previously she has worked with API communities. Her experiences also include community level programs that work with various diverse communities on the issues of mental health, providing culturally & linguistically meaningful mental health promotion modalities in San Francisco, specifically with Cambodian, Filipino, Laotian, Samoan, and Vietnamese communities; developing resources and tools

As former The LOOP Leadership development fellow she was introduced to the world of tobacco control. Anila joined the “The LOOP” Project two years ago as Leadership Specialist Assistant. Currently she is the Project Associate with The LOOP. Her role includes working closely with The Advisory Collective and is passionate to continue making an impact in the tobacco control community.
